I wanted to share a little more openly about what this season looks like for me and my business 🤍

With the progression of ankylosing spondylitis and the chronic pain I’m managing, alongside family life with my eldest starting primary school and my casual retail work, I’ve made the difficult but necessary decision to step away from alterations and custom orders.

This chapter is about creating in ways that are sustainable for my body and my family.

Moving forward, when I do return to creating, my focus will be on:
• small ready-made handmade collections
• working with my vintage linen fabrics
• sharing behind-the-scenes of my sewing process
• offering simple sewing education and content

This allows me to keep creating without pushing my body beyond what it can manage, and to stay connected with this space in a way that feels gentle and realistic.

I’m so excited to launch my very first hands-on workshop — “My First Letter” Fabric Ornament Workshop — designed especially for early learning groups and kindy classes!

This beautiful festive experience blends creativity, early literacy, and fine-motor learning in a calm, engaging environment that celebrates connection and imagination.

Each child will:
🧵 Write the first letter of their name on a pre-sewn fabric ornament
🎨 Decorate it with fabric markers and colourful ribbons
☁️ Help stuff it with soft filling
🪡 Watch the sewing machine safely in action (from a secure viewing area!)
🎄 Take home a personalised keepsake to treasure or hang on the Kindy Christmas tree

Sessions are available for:
✨ Up to 20 children (standard group)
✨ Up to 30 children (large group)

All bookings include the Shereedee Designs Workshop Safety Plan & Risk Outline, provided prior to the event.

This beautiful festive experience blends creativity, early literacy, and fine-motor learning in a calm, engaging environment that celebrates connection and imagination.

Each child will:
🧵 Write the first letter of their name on a pre-sewn fabric ornament
🎨 Decorate it with fabric markers and colourful ribbons

This sweet little skirt was once a vintage floral duvet cover 🌿 By thoughtfully reusing its beautiful pre-existing ruffle and piping edge, I was able to shape this fabric into a new silhouette — giving it a fresh life while honouring the charm it already held.

Each piece I create is handmade in my sewing studio, tucked inside the private home I share with my family here in Maryborough. It’s a space filled with love, creativity, and the simple joy of turning forgotten fabrics into treasured garments 💛
