Behind the Design
Bushland Christmas Tales was lovingly created to celebrate an Australian Christmas through the eyes of little ones. Featuring kangaroos, koalas, kookaburras, echidnas, and turtles—each adorned with tiny Santa hats or festive bows—this pattern blends gentle storytelling with a soft, earthy palette. Inspired by the flora and fauna of Butchulla Country and the joy of childhood at Christmas, every character was hand-illustrated to capture a sense of warmth, wonder, and connection to land. Subtle native foliage and bush berries are woven throughout, making this print perfect for keepsake holiday pieces that honour both culture and Country in a playful, nurturing way.
